Default can I run office 2003 in Vista operating system?

I have a new PC with Vista OS. I am running office 2007 trial and hate it.
I will either remove everything from the PC and start over with XP and Office
2003, or not purchase office 2007 and try installing office 2003. Are there
any drawbacks to trying to install-run office 2003 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
and Outlook) with Vista OS?
