Default Can I delete earlier service packs when new ones come out?

Want to keep this old Dell running as efficiently as possible. When I
install Svc Pack 3, can I remove SP2? How about installing IE8 & deleting
IE7?
Thanks!

You would need to read all the release notes on the SP to see if you can
uninstall the prior ones.

It's not worth the trouble and it won't make the PC run any more
efficiently...
