Blurry Buttons on Toolbars

Just installed Office 2003. [Previous version of Office 2002 worked just
fine.] All buttons on toolbars - for all 2003 applications - which are _not_
text (i.e., graphic buttons), are very blurry and difficult to read. Nothing
seems to fix it - I tried to customize the buttons; I played around with
ClearType; I played around with Commands. No matter what I do the buttons
remain very blurry on all applications. How do I customize them so the icons
are sharp and clear to see?
