Default automatic copying when deleting

In MY PICTURES, Problem occurs when pictures are accidentally copied to MP
rather than a to a sub folder. When I try to delete these pictures they are
automatically copied so that I might have 12 copies of the pictures on the
page.. How do I avoid this?

If you are holding down ctrl while selecting and move, even slightly, the
photos will copy. After you select the photos, right-click, click delete.

Thank you Mary; that explains what is happening. Since I am in the main page
(not in a folder) I cannot "select photos". I was holding down CONTROL to
delete more than one at a time. Any way to delete several (or more) at once?
When I delete one I get a window (are you sure...) so it is very time
consuming to delete 50 or more.

You can hold down ctrl and select as many as you need to delete, just don't
move, right-click and click delete. If the photos are consecutive hold shift.
