Adding mp4 sound to Powerpoint

I'm trying to add an mp4 sound to PP 2003 and it won't take the file. The
program only wants .wav files and I can't convert this music to that type of
file. Any suggestions?

PPT doesn't recognize m4p or mp4 files. You need to convert them to a format
PPT does recognize. If you can't convert to WAV, then convert to MP3.
