Default ACT! vs Business Contact Manager

I have been using ACT! for 13 years (and paying for many upgrades [that
don't upgrade much]).
A few ACT! upgrades ago, shortly after I started experimenting with BCM
2003, there was a SQL conflict between ACT! and BCM, so the (Free 60 day)
support person advised that I choose between the two. I uninstalled BCM 2003.
Several times I have told myself to go "cold turkey" and uninstall ACT!
in favor of BCM 2003, which seems like a good "Contact Manager" and mail
merge program. I did some maintenance last night, and now I can't open my
database. I've spent 30 minutes trying to fix it, but I think my time is
worth more than that.
ACT! wants (us) to pay for support for a program that seems to be going
through continual growing pains. I say - bunk! The Microsoft website has many
tutorials and support for BCM.
Does anyone have some Sage (pun intended) advice on dumping ACT! for
BCM 2003?

Default Re: ACT! vs Business Contact Manager

Hi Paul,

You may want to also post in the MS Office Outlook Business Contact Manager group on this, using thelink below. How well BCM might
do at replacing Act! can depend on how much customization of Act! you rely on.
