I assume it's a tree as you didn't give any info.

thankx thats Salix fragilis (Crack Willow). It was gifted to us from one of our friends, actually two but only one survived. i had no idea how to increase its cultivation as there were no seeds.

Don't take me for sure I'm no expert here. If any buds or bloom develop that might give a better clue.
