Is it possible to upgrade the hard drive on this laptop to a larger drive?
How big of a hassle is this? What kind of drive do I need? Any tricks or
instructions on how to open the case?

The VGN-Txy series have a 1.8inch notebook drive. I believe (check your
device manager) that it is a Toshiba drive, 60GB(?). The largest
1.8inch drive currently available is a Toshiba, 100GB. Note that these
are all 4200rpm "vertical" format where the sectors are perpendicular to
the axis rather than circular as in most other drives. This is the same
as an "iPod" drive.
The case is opened by removing all of the screws on the bottom of the
case marked "==>", AFIK. The drive should be readily changed out,
depending on one's mechanical skills.
AFA finding a larger drive, Google is your friend.
The T350P has a Toshiba MK6006AH 1.8" 60GByte drive. This drive has an
ATA-6 interface.
Ideally, I would like to upgrade to a 100 or 120 GByte drive. It looks like
Toshiba is the most likely source. However, their larger 1.8" drives all
seem to come with a Consumer Electronics ZIF interface.
Any ideas about how I can get around this problem? I'd be willing to delay
my upgrade if a larger plug compatible drive is going to be available in the
forseeable future.

I had forgotten about this link to the TR World forum: http://sonytr.siliconpopculture.com/ It has a forum for the T series
that likely will answer the connector question and replacement
instructions also.
That was a very helpful link. Why doesn't this site show up on google?

Dunno. There are several brand-specific forums that one has to literally
trip over to find.
