Default NVidia Hibernate Failure

Ok, so I Have Suspend fully functional with my Dell Inspiron 8200 using
the binary nvidia driver. However, Hibernate fails every time.

I've read all the how-to's and have modified my acpi-support file as
required (this causes my Suspend to work). However, Hibernate would be
great! I am out of ideas though.

I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy. Can anyone help?

Oh Linux is a bit slow when it comes up to updates. All you can do is to
wait and wait and wait. Someday when somebody has time will get it
fixed.

I wonder if upgrading the nvidia drivers from the web site will do any
good. I hesitate to do that as I know it is difficult to uninstall once
you install like that though.

I have NO idea why hibernate is failing or whether it can be even made to
work on that laptop, but will throw something your way on the longshot that
it might be the problem. Hibernate requires a swapspace large enough to
accommodate writing a memory dump to it. Is your swap partition large
enough to handle this?

Cheers.

Q: What OS is built for lusers?
A: Which one requires running lusermgr.msc to create them?
