Default New HD for an N1000c?

Hi all,

I have a Compaq Presario Evo N1000c laptop and the hd is
going out and it is a 30G'er. I would like to put something in
that is at least 120G but I haven't been able to figure out if the
interface is IDE/SATA or what. The hd that I pulled out has
22 ruws of pins with one pin missing on the 13th row. What
is this called?

thanks,
charles.....

It's a 2.5" IDE drive. You can almost certainly use any 2.5" IDE drive
up to 120GB (MAYBE even larger) that fits into the drive bay (this issue
being the thickness of the drive; all 9.5mm drives will work, but the
laptop may or may not take a 12.5mm drive).
