Last time was my Acer
This time is Toshiba

Did you consider the possibility it was not a hardware failure, or you
somehow caused it? I have used computers for over 20 years and never had
a display failure, if I except one occasion of a very poorly built CRT.

Of coursee, could be pure and simple bad luck but ... and I fail to see
how running a Mac would improve your odds!

Won't make any difference. Apple buys LCD panels from the same vendors
who make PC lcd panels (in fact they are probably the same panels).

Either you are unlucky, or you don't know how to properly care for or
use laptops.

Macs have the same LCD issues. Bad day at the assembly plant.
