I have a fujitsu-siemens lifebook b-series need some help

I have forgotten the pass code to the security panel. I talked to the
manufactures and they said id have to send it in.
Is there a way to reset it or work around it. I don't think it is
worth sending in. i was just going to give it to a niece. Can i just
reset the cmos.
