Procured an old secondhand FUJITSU Laptop (Lifebook B Series). It's
BIOS is password protected, and cannot be recalled by the old user any
help to reset the BIOS will be appreciated. There is a strip of 6
cells (7.2 Volts), Varta make, on the MainBoard which was left
disconnected for 24 hours but it didn't help.

Most newer laptops have a special password chip and this cannot be cleared
by removing batteries or shorting jumpers.
Only way to clear it is by Fujitsu service or a company that does password
removal /recovery as a business.
Check with Google on BIOS password removal.
