disable touchpad on Latitude 610 when mouse plugged in

disable it in the BIOS

My sisters HP Pavilion dv6000t laptop has a button above the trackpad
to enable / disable it. MacBooks can do this via system prefrences. On
Dells? However, i am unsure how to do this. There might be a button or
some app to do this included with some dell application suite.

Hit F2 at the POST screen right when the computer turns on (where it
says "Dell") then you'll find the option in the Setup program.
