Dell D400 question...

Hey everybody,

I'm kinda new to laptops, but I'm thinking about buying a used Dell
D400... My question is as follows: is it posible to change CPU that is in
that little thing? I've heard that it varies among laptop models if the CPU
is interchangable or not... From my observations it is cheapear to buy a
1.3GHz loaded D400 and a mobile centrino 2.0Ghz (AFAIK it supports CPUs up
to 2.2 or 2.4GHz)... Anybody tried it? Any significant difference in
performance?

You are going to buy a used laptop, a new CPU, open the laptop to change
the CPU ?

Have you checked the prices of a new laptop ?
