Default ASUS vs TOSHIBA vs HP

Hello,

I consider to buy a new laptop.
My needs :

CPU - core 2 duo (T7xxx)
HDD - 160 GB +
RAM - 2 GB +
VGA - dedicated - Radeon 2600 / nVidia 8600 (which one is the better
for multimedia? I am not a game player but sometimes it can be nice to play)

My other needs are :

- a good battery (at least 2 hours + )
- good materials laptop is made of (I don't want to buy something to be
broken in a few months)
- silent while working (I don't want to hear the fan sound all the time)

Are ASUS notebooks worth to choose (considering these above mentioned) ?
