Acer Aspire Assistance

I really fancy the idea of an Acer Aspire. My criteria in order of
importance are

1) must not be Vista
2) have wireless
3) not too much demand on the main memory for the Video memory
4) preferably 17" screen, but perfectly happy with 15.4"
5) ability to upgrade memory at a reasonable cost, although I will
probably do this myself with crucial memory
6) possibly Firewire

At present I don't have any firewire devices, but I may like to consider
backing up to something like an Iomega firewire external hard disk if
the performance over USB 2.0 is significant?


Can anyone recommend models please. I'm also trying the uk group, but
this sees a far greater number of messages. I would mention a budget of
about £800 with 1GB memory installed, but in the non UK market this
could probably be a lot easier to get a better spec machine for the same
price
