use a tv as a computer screen

i have all the capablities to use a tv as a screen but i am unsure of how to do it i have the s-video cable and everythink any help would be great also i am on windows vista if this help with any think, thank you again

You will need a graphic card that has a s-video output or an adapter, some modern Flat Panel TVs, LCD Plasma and TFT types can be used as a computer monitor as they have a VGA monitor type socket on them.
