Hi welcome to the group
I wonder how the machine acts in safe-mode, try rebooting and tapping F8 until then screen comes up and select 'Run in safe-mode... you haven't installed any software recently by chance? Also you may try to go into safe mode and select 'Boot from the last good configuration that worked' to see what happens.

F4 errors may be related to hardware problems in which case neither of these suggestions will work.

See if there is any help here Troubleshooting error codes

Hi

I seem to have narrowed it down to overheating somewhere and not a software issue, ive inserted some extra cooling fans but keep having to try different places for them as its a badly designed packard bell case. Also i cant use f8 to get into safe mode on this thing with it being a packard bell they use the f8 key for boot options.Managed to reduce it from 72 to 55 temp as the readings tell me on 'speedfan'.But these readings says gpu and core has the hot points.I havent installed any software prior to this problem at all, although i have had to reboot with a different mce disc has the original boot disc fails with a crc error.

Default my help

Well my friend that overheting sounds like a bad bios settings , try to get in to the bios settings and use the default configuration or better one allways on the bottom rite are the options i say.

if that dont help go to intel.com and download the newer version of the chip driver of your machine i say CHIP no VIDEO DRIVER its called chip info update.

check what chip has your computer and just download the newes some times when a new updates to the windows come this start to force the chip on old configurations so a new configuration makes smooth the operation of the chip.
