Connecting to certain websites problem

Hi

For some reason my internet / firefox wont connect to certain internet sites , ie - Google search wont work, play.com , amazong , facebook etc....

not sure why it is doing this ?

Hi Kierran123 welcome to the group.
I would check the security and cookie settings first of all, it's gotta be some configuration setting I'd say.

my security setting is set to Internet Zone. my privacy content is set to medium high to block cookies and im running zone alarm firewall...i just flushed my DNs and tht hasnt worked either.

How about having a look in Firefox by going to a web page, clicking on the Tools tab, opening Options in the drop-down window, clicking on Privacy and then opening Exceptions see if it's in there, better still copy and paste the address you can't open into the Exception address bar and click allow.... see if that works, but do make sure you are allowing cookies as well, this would clear Firefox of blame I'd say, the next step would be to try the sight with the Firewall disabled momentarily, but do remember to turn it back on.
