Unwanted files

I know this isn't a hardward question, but our cable company was offering
three free subscriptions to the F-Secure anti-virus program. I installed it
on my Pavilion a1123c. It tended to take over my machine and wouldn't play
well with other machines on my network so I uninstalled it and went with
McAfee. Today I discovered a left-over folder that uses 104 MB of disk
space and there is no way it will let me delete it. It keeps telling me
that I tried all the tricks of renaming it and even logging on as
administrator but that puppy isn't going anywhere. Does anyone know how to
get this thing off my machine? The error message I get is: "Cannot delete.
Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that
the file is not currently in use.

2 things to try
Have you booted into Safe Mode and tried to delete it there?
Can you open the folder and delete some of the contents to reduce the size

2 more things to try
Boot into command line only and navigate to the folder before deleting it
Killbox (a very useful program that does delete-on-reboot).
