Presario S4200nx CD-R/Rw drive problem..

I bought 2 drives from Hp parts store to replace the Samsung drives in the
pc- The replacement drives are the TSST Corp TS- H292C CD- Rw drive & the
TSST Corp TS- H352C. DVD - Rom drive. Bought the drives on March 5,2007.When
you put a cd in the drives, the drives will not work.

The drives are no longer working- Tried uninstalling & reinstalling drivers
in Device manager,uninstalled & reinstalled the secondary IDE
channel,checked Bios settings,took the drives out & checked them,ran a
recovery & nothing has worked.

Any recs on what else to try? Does anyone know what Hp parts store policy is
on replacing bad parts& who can I call from Hp to get this problem solved?
Called tech support & that hasn't worked either.
