Default New Pavilion laptop

I just got a Pavilion 6662se laptop and wonder if there's a setting I've
missed or can't find. Using the touch pad, quite often as soon as I get to
an item I want to right click, the "click" happens and execution takes place
even though I never got my finger off the touch pad. I haven't been able to
find any setting to change this so I'm assuming it's not some sort of
special feature I've turned on or failed to turn off. Can and will any of
you tell me if this is some sort of feature and, if so, how and where do I
turn it off?

Also, I was thinking about getting the car charger and notice the unit is
rated at 90 watts (the charger, I mean) and the thought occurs to me that as
I have a power inverter for my car already--and it's rated higher than 90
watts, is there any advantage in buying the actual charging unit or would I
be just as well served to use the "home" plug and plug it into the inverter?

Thanks,
Tim

I've never heard of a feature or setting like the one you're speaking of related to the touchpad. Try re-install/update the drivers, Either with the HP certified drivers from their website or you could use Synaptics own drivers... Re-installing/Updating usually reset settings to default in-case it's something you have (accidently) changed yourself.

As for the car charger-- When it comes to laptops using stronger or weaker adapters can turn ugly. If it's too weak the battery recharge time will increase and features such as WLAN which is usually a part of the system that is shut down at low battery will suffer... Depending on how weak the adapter is your system might get slower aswell.

However if you use an adapter that is stronger than the original selected for the specific system you may overcharge the battery which will result in a shorter lifespan and might even fry your system board.
