Win 95 Dcom and DirectX 8

Hi all

I have made a pc with win 95 and installed Direct X 8 and after the finish
it said to download DCOM from

www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom95/download.asp

I read about it in the page above but is it realy needed to just play old
windows and dos games?

Can`t remember back that far Gabby, but you can get
it here.
And if it says it`s needed, you probably do.

Thanks meerkat I installed it but it dosnt seem any different before
