Happens all the time. Human beings determine the meanings of words.
Dictionaries try to keep up, and most are very limited in their
coverage. Many words are used differently in a subgroup of human
beings, and that usage is perfectly valid. Even if this group's
usage of "OEM hard drive" were different than the mainstream, it
would be valid unless it were used in front of a larger audience.

Do you work for NewEgg?
You keep quoting this website... but strangely very few others. Do you
actually have any experience yourself?
On second thoughts, I don't want to know what experience you have... In fact
I don't want to hear anything from you as I know from past experience it
will be ill thought out, abusive and vitriolic. I think I'll just add you
to my ignore list, as I suspect most people on this group have already done!

Try looking a bit harder... and I quote the NewEgg page for the Samsung F1
Manufacturer Warranty
Beyond any applicable Newegg return policy, this item is warranted
independently by the product's Manufacturer. Below is a summary provided for
convenience only and may not be accurate or current. Click here for full
details.
a.. Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (parts): 3 years
b.. Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (labor): 3 years

Pity that your's seems stuck in the "abusively unreasonable" then isn't it?
Have you ever thought that if you don't have anything nice or helpful to say
it might be better to keep your mouth shut.
But then I ought to remember not to mud wrestle with a pig... you only get
dirty yourself and the pig enjoys it!

But in fact, currently Newegg is considered the most popular online
hardware merchant and is quoted regularly.

Or the experience of a hundred users.

Rarius, you mean "I don't want to hear your corrections of my
silly opinions".
> I think I'll just add you to my ignore list,
People who need to proclaim when putting someone in there kill file
are usually referring to an imaginary kill file friend and not a
real kill file. Your imaginary kill file friend isn't technically
inclined enough to kill the whole thread branch, Rarius, so you end
up stumbling over all of the replies to your alleged victim. Your
imaginary kill file friend is very difficult to keep track of too,
he tends to magically disappear from time to time.

The ability to quote is never a sufficient replacement for the ability to
think!
Considered by who? It is a US based site so is of very little use to me.
Much of the info (such as warranties) is inaccurate and I won't buy from
them as the shipping is prohibitive. When will you Americans realise that
the US is not the be all and end all of the internet, or the civilised
world!

I didn't ask about 900 other users.. I asked about you. I note how you have
singularly failed to answer the question! But then how much real world
experience can a 12 year old have?

No.. I said exactly what I meant. Your response proves my point. both
abusive and ill thought out!

WTF are you talking about? What on earth is an "imaginary kill file
friend"... you may have imaginary friends in your lonely little world, but I
prefer the real sort. Perhaps if you left your keyboard once in a while you
might actually meet people... Some real world interraction might improve
your manners, but I doubt it.
I never mentioned a kill file. I said ignore list. My newsreader allows me
to filter the contents of a newsgroup and exclude any posts from certain
users.
By the fact that I am responding toy your post, you can assume that I have
not put you on ignore. I find I am strangely enjoying mud-wrestling with a
pig!

Now! Answer the question!
You keep quoting this website, Rarius has asked you a question that you
singularly refuse to answer.
So there is nothing in this post for you to run off the mouth at, so just
answer the question.
Do you work for NewEgg?
You asked me if I worked for Samsung, and I told you I didn't, so answer the
question.
Cheers
