Howdy, this probably OT, but I would like to know iffn it is normal
for a laptop (Compaq Presario C503cw) to have two (2) display
drivers?? Both are the same driver, an Intel GMA 945gm. I've deleted
one and both drivers and when Windows XP detects the hardware, it
installs both again. Is this normal for laptops?? For what reason?
Thanks for any info.

For laptops, that's normal.
In addition to the built-in monitor...there is also a connector for an
external monitor
which will also show up in device manager etc.

You can see the two display processing pipelines in this picture. One
driver per pipeline.
