Default Sky broadband/wireless enabled router

hi, my son has a desktop pc, XP,got a wireless router from sky.put a
wireless pci card in pc which installed ok, but when you click on the
icon,keeps saying wireless card not found.i tried it in my pc, same
problem,so can anyone kindly advise what he done wrong- router downstirs, pc
upstairs thanx for any advice,don

on one hand you say the card installed OK and on the other you say computer
says card not found..............well that's my understanding.

what pci card did you install and did it come with software.

how very coincidental, I fitted a generic card (£9) into MY sons desktop and
when he subscribed to Virgin (cable) the card would not pick up a good
signal.

I took it out and fitted a D Link DWL-G510 (£18) + its own software and all
works a treat...............

I have the same card in my home comp (BT Internet) and it to work fine.

We are into you get what you pay for discussion.
