I'm currently using 'sata I' drives (x2), but I want to add another one
(sata II). I know 'sata II' is backwards compatable with 'sata I' but can
you use BOTH versions at the same time in a pc (dual-boot xp & vista)?
Many thanks in adavance

Should be fine. My Seagate harddisks have a jumper to set the SATA mode.

You can mix SATAI and SATA2 hard drives on SATAI or SATA2 controllers.
In the case of a SATA2 HDD on a SATA1 controller you will probably have
to jumper it correctly.
