Default SATA DVD drive question

I just ordered a SATA DVD drive. I am not going to implement RAID. Will I
need drivers for it or will XP recognize it and install it (I have SATA
enabled in my BIOS)?

Dvd drive- raid? I think xp will recognise it.

It will if you have SATA ports on your motherboard.
