Default Processor Affinity - How do I know which process is using whichprocessor - Quad core setup

Hi folks. I'm trying to figure out how to optimize my system using
processor affinity. I'm trying to find out the following:

1. What processors are using which process.
2. Should I break down all processes in my system to different cores?
3. How to tell what applications can use multiple cores and how to set
them up. For instance, I have some games that I run and I want to
know if I set them to 1 or 2 cores if that will help because by
default everything is using all four cores when I go to processor
affinity settings for anything. I don't understand how this is
possible since I have been told most things can't use 4 cores.

Thanks for the info!

In Windows, the information is available in the Task Manager. Unless you have
specific reasons to manually set affinity, it's best to let the OS manage them
dynamically. While NT4 had only a rudimentary capability, Win 2K and XP do it
very well, and I assume Vista is at least as good in that respect.
