Talking about yourself again eh!
According to the most recent UN Human Development Index ( http://
hdr.undp.org/en/statistics/ ) the US doesn't even rank in the top 10
countries. This index is based on education attainment, income, life
expectancy and health care.

I am talking about pompous insulting assholes like you, Martian.

Relying on the United Nations for misinformation is your problem,
Martian. If we were uneducated, we would not be producing all of the
intellectual property third-worlders love to steal. Currently, our
United States is the most powerful and rich country in the world. But
your insulting arrogance is boundless anyway, Martian, so that should
make no difference to you.

In my experience it is stupid poorly educated people who make sweeping
generalizations like you have just done.
Let us look at the issue of theft. Here is just one example. Until a
recent US Federal Court ruling, US corporations like Microsoft, Intel,
Apple, Buffalo, HP and many others were enjoying the fruits of stolen
Australian intellectual property, namely 802.11 (WLAN). These companies
found nothing ethically or morally wrong with appropriating the
Australian technology without payment of royalties. Thankfully the US
Federal Court ruling changed that. http://www.abc.net.au/news/

If you are going to be arrogant, Martian, you really should avoid calling
others "stupid". Calling someone "stupid" is the oldest, lamest insult
known to man.
> Let us look at the issue of theft.
But seriously... No conscious human being would argue that the rest of the
world does not eagerly steal our United States intellectual property. The
evidence is all over the Internet. One of my hobbies has been Internet TV.
I have seen firsthand all of the Third World countries who just love our
media. Take a look at eBay Australia.

Excellent point, Martian. Other countries can be very thankful that we
have real enforceable intellectual property law. Too bad it does not
work the other way around. The outgoing flood is a constant one-way
drain. Our intellectual property is like a broken off fire hydrant to
the rest of the world.
By the way, Martian... If there is a good reason to send software
engineering jobs to India, a pompous insulting ******* like you is it.

It is merely an adjective which appears to be applicable to you.

I don't use eBay so I have no idea of what you are attempting to say. I
am amused that your hobby is watching TV, you must have a lot of free
time on your hands. Do you collect test patterns too?
American television is generally of a pretty low standard but there are
exceptions. I think it has something to do with catering to the lowest
common denominator.

I think you will find that most cultures that are historically derived
from Europe have a similar approach to matters of law. The notable thing
about US IP laws is that they are subject to corruption by corporate
influence.

I am an *employer*, not an unemployed/unemployable welfare recipient like
yourself. If I was to 'offshore' a software engineering job I would
choose Romania.

You are good boy, Martian.

And of course consciousness is completely out of the question.

Actually, that hobby ended up being another one of many
computer/Internet using exercises of mine, Martian.

It's the same wherever you go, Martian.

Probably from the backside.

At least she's noticeable, Martian.
