how do you install ram

i have a p4 home pc running windows vista. it has 512 ddr400ram.i
bought another ddr512 ram and inserted it into the slot next to the
other 512 ram but pc does not see it .help!

Most likely, you didn't get the ram seated properly in the socket.
Try again.

How is your system? do it have 4 slot DDR? If your main have 4 slot
DDR, please insert another DDR 512 into slot 3 of DDR. Setting your
system Ram into Dual chen. testing it! If your bought DDR 512 is
different old DDR 512, please do not enable Dual chen!
