Default Gigabyte GA X48T GQ6 mainboard

I want to build a new computer and like the spec of this motherboard. I have
used this manufacturer before with good results and was wondering if this is
a good choice as i i will be using a Quad Core processor with the 1333mhz
FSB.
I will be fitting an Nvidia GT280 1gig card too but i am not sure which one
to get as yet.
Also i have been told to stay clear of Vista but i know people who use it
with effect and no problems.

Do you want to play games? If so, choose XP... If not, are the apps you want
to use Vista specific? If they are, choose Vista, otherwise choose XP.

Assuming you mean the DQ6 vs GQ6, why do you want that instead of a DS4?
According to the specs on newegg
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128331),
they are almost identical in tech specs, the DS4 is significantly cheaper, and
the X48T requires DDR3 RAM instead of DDR2. AFAIK, there is still little to no
advantage to DDR3 over DDR2, and the price is significantly higher.
