Default Gigabyte GA-M61SME-S2

Can someone help out on this one.

The Bios has. First Boot device , second , third.
It seems I can only choose from Flopy HD CD. But I need to boot from
a SATA drive.

Any help on this please.

Default Re: Gigabyte GA-M61SME-S2

I haven't looked at the mobo, but if it has 2 IDE
slots, don't put an IDE device in the first or
primary IDE slot. Then when you install XP,
and it asks for the floppy with the SATA drivers,
you hit F6, and load the floppy disk with the
drivers at that time. Then the boot HD will
be the SATA. Note: if this is a more modern
mobo, call Gigabyte tech support and they
will talk you through the install. Good group.
