Default Considering new build using Intel X38 motherboard...any thoughts or recommendations?

I am considering a new build using:

Intel x38 motherboard
CPU W6600 core duo quad
2 gb DDR3 1066 RAM
Either a Hauppauge 1800 or ATI TV Wonder 650 Tuner Card (PCI Express)
Either an EVGA 256 meg GeForce 8600GTS (256-P2-N761-AR) or Two ea of single
head version so I can callibrate my monitors for Photoshop

I will re-use my two 320 g SATA300 WD 16 mg cache drives, a 160g SATA300,
dual layer NEC DVD burner, Plextor CD-R and 160g Firewire external drive.

I will probably start with XP Pro, but will ultimately go to Vista Ultimate.

This system is used primarily for photo editing, business apps, some video
editing, many times with TV or music on one monitor while working on the
other....generally with 4 to 6 apps open simultaneously.

Any comments? Especially on the X38, the vid card, and tumer card?

Thanks,
Mike

ZipZoomFly has a BFG68256GTSOC here:

with a 60 dollar rebate. BFG has 24/7 free tech support (in English!)
and a lifetime warranty on their cards (I've tested that- they actually
stand behind the product).

Good Luck
