Computer fans

What is the consensus of air flow from extra case fans.

Have all the fans blowing in?
All blowing out?
Air flow is good in either direction?

I think all should be blowing in and the power supply should be the
exhaust. I could be wrong, I usually am.

Depends on where they are at. Front fans blow in, back fans blow out,
and if you need more than one extra your case is too full or poorly
designed.

If you're talking about 120mm fans then, yes, 2 may be enough. But if
your fans are all 80mm and smaller, if you just use your computer for
surfing the internet, writing, db's, etc one or two case fans may be
ok (I would still recommend more, especially if your ambient temp gets
80 and above), but if your a gamer with an OC'd CPU and/or GPU you
need all the cooling you can get. All cases are pretty much a like
inside. And, yes, you want to draw cool air in and blow hot air out.
However, I wouldn't rely just on the PS as the only exhaust. The PS
fans are meant to cool the PS. Sucking in hot air over the hot
components of the PS aren't good for it. Also, heat rises, so if you
have bottom and top fans, the bottom should be 'pull' and the top
'push.'

Most cases nowadays use the Low Front intake......High Back out..fan setup.
Some cases also have a side fan to blow cool air towards the CPU
heatsink/fan as well as a Top fan to blow hot air out.
The general concensus seems to be to have a Positive Pressure inside the
case...more cool air going in then hot air going out.
The contents of the case as well as the temperature of the room have a lot
to do with how Cool you are going to run.
A mishmash of wires will impede the proper airflow....so tidying that jungle
helps in cooling.
If you are in a 30C Room dont expect your case temps to be lower....what
with the heat produced by the various parts it will definitly be hotter...
Take a look at various Websites that test Cases.......and you will see that
the airflow inside a case is now a major point of discussion.
I run an Antec P160 with 2 120mm case fans....low front/hi back..I have
cleaned up my jungle of wires and found I am running about 5c above Room
temp.

Front case fans should Intake air, and rear case fans should Exhaust air.
