Default Cheap Way To Buy Windows XP ?

I am building a couple PC's out of some surplus stuff I have. Is there a
place to buy the above mentioned (any version) relatively cheap in order to
resale it with these boxes I am putting together? Adding $75+ per box makes
this project seem worthless as these systems will only be worth about $100.
Any suggestions??

Install Linux on it, then show to customer, saying "see, it boots this
OS fine, and you can pick up a copy of WinXP and install that if you
want". Now you've spent zero and are still legal. Distros you could use
are Knoppix or Ubuntu or about 500 other distros. The first two mentioned
are a 700MB download, followed by burn to CD.

Yup, it's the pits.

Sounds like a good idea for buyers that have access to a copy of
Windows.

Load them up with Linux. Not only it's free but the PCs will run
faster.
