Default beep code question , emachine, circa Jan 2006

Hi,
the e-machine was sent back to the factory 3 times under warrenty. replaced
mobo, cdrw, and i don't know what the third problem was. Has an Athlon 64
in it.

Now it doesn't boot.
The owner reports that when he turns it on it beeps. It is a single, long,
recurring beep, About a second of a beep, and a second of a pause, and it
does this until he turns it off.

Can anyone tell me what this signifies? I don't have specs on the machine.
Thanks,
Mike

Memory problem. Remove, clean and reseat memory modules. If more than
one, try one at a time.

Mike.
