Default Why does the BIOS setup screen always come up?

Intel desktop motherboard D865GBF, my bios setup screen now
always comes up, why would this be?

I think there's a jumper you have to move to stop that from
happening. At least on my socket478 board the only way into the BIOS
was with the jumper.

It could be some hardware configuration thats wrong, you didn't say if this just started to happen, a new build or if any changes have been made. One thing I'd be tempted to do is to disconnect all the drives except the hard drive and concentrate on getting Windows to boot.

A similar post some time ago with a desk top was due to the bios back up battery being duff.... note some laptops don't use a back up battery they use a memory retention capacitor instead and they don't look the same.

Do note:
Removing these for more than a minute or so the bios will reset to it's factory default settings and you'll have to do a bios reset, there may be a 'quick set' button what will save you the hassle of doing a manual set up.

It would be wise to disconnect all USB devices whilst trying to solve this.
