Default New computer front panel wiring question.

I purchased a CoolMaster Centurion 5 case from New Egg to build a new
computer. I am using a Gigabyte GA-P32-DS4 motherboard.

There are two wires in the Centurion 5 with separate connectors that
are not labeled. They are white and green and they are twisted
together. It was my guess that they were either supposed to be
connected to the "Message/Power/Sleep Led" as listed on page 30 of the
GA-P35-DS4 manual or that they were supposed to be connected to the
"Power_LED" three prong connector on motherboard.

The manual does not identify any of the front panel connectors though
all but these two wires are labeled on their respective connectors.

Also, the Gigabyte manual states that the connectors should be
installed respecting the pins positive and negative assignments. All
of the Centurion front panel connectors have a white and a colored
wire. Is the white wire negative?

The Gigabyte manual, other than noting on page 23 that there is a
"PWR_LED" header, never describes actually connecting it to anything.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Most likely, if everything else on the case has connectors that are labeled,
ie, hdd led, power switch, reset, speaker, etc, and you don't have one
listed as pwr led then that unnamed one is probably it.
Although the Gigabyte mb expects a connector with 3 connectors for the
pwr led, only two wires are actually used or necessary. Quite often there
will be a series of pins, -++ in a row and one simply attaches the two
pronged connector to the first two pins. Sometimes the connector for the
power led has two wires to 3 pin plastic connector, with the middle of the 3
pin connector being empty. Where there are only a series of two pins and
there is a 3 pin connector with two wires one can simply use a thin knife to
lift a small plastic flange to undo one of the wires and slip it into the
correct hole of the connector for proper placement.
By the way, should you unknowlingly get the positive negative orientation
wrong in connection it will not hurt the mb. Lights will simply not glow
until the orientation is correct.

All connectors should have a little arrow or triangle shape that
corresponds to pin 1.

Frequently, case switch and LED connectors do not have this
indicator.
