Default High quality SATA II cables

I will be adding a couple of SATA drives to my computer and would
appreciate knowing a source or brand of good quality SATA and SATA II
cables. (strong, well-fitting connectors, in particular).

Thanks

Recently tested about 30 or so different cables from about 8 different
suppliers.

Tested signal, emi, reliability & price.

An intel stock part by Molex came out on top - Molex Part Number 0733 Intel
Part Number C95764-001.

We buy them in 20k qtys, but I'm sure you should be able to buy them a from
a retailer by googling the part number.

The are latched at both ends.

Yes, 20K might be a smidge too many...! Thanks for the reco. Out of
curiousity, what were some of the results you found in your testing?

Thanks

I have not been able to find a part number as short as 4 digits (0733).
I have found some other part numbers for SATA II signal cables.
(it is in a Molex .pdf and the part number is 68561-0014 for a 0.5m red
Signal Cable assembly, Straight-latching to Straight-latching. Haven't
been able to find a retailer yet, however... Googling the Intel part
number, I found a company in England and another listing in one of the
slavic or Russian countries, based on the alphabet....!!

I will keep looking!

(Not found by search engine - go to intel, start with "where to buy")

Looks like someone has found them for you below.

Sorry - Can't share the test results - internal only doc ... all I can say
is that these were on top for price / performance and longevity.

There are some *really* crap cables out there these days, but as long as you
stick with reknowned OEM mfrs like Molex / Foxconn etc you can't go to far
wrong.

Many thanks. I would have thought that they would have shown up on a
search. Oh, well. I appreciate the effort!

Are the specs for SATA and SATA II cables different? While the Intel
cable is listed as a SATA cable, it does have the latching mechanism
that the SATA II cables seem to have... Do you know if the Intel cables
are, indeed, OK for SATA II devices?

Thanks
