Default Visual display completely messed up

After I installed some Windows updates, I can't play videos anymore.
All I get is a strange green static view with no picture.

Check your video card display properties for an overlay
setting and toggle that.

Try reinstalling your video player software.
Try uninstalling the updates one at a time.
Try installing the newest video card driver that the video
card chipset manufacturer (not just MS or the video card
manufacturer) provides on their website.

Be more cautious of updates, not everyone needs them _all_
and as you have seen, it's possible for them to cause
problems.

IN the future, NEVER let MS upgrade your video drivers if you are having
no problems with video.
