usb cable question...

I have two digitial cameras. Both download images via usb and one
charges its battery by usb.
Both have the same small connector on the camera.

I have no cables (anymore) for either camera and want to replace the
cables.

Not only does the connector need to be the same for both cameras when
I buy a new cable but obviously it would be best if it worked for both
cameras.

Is there a way by looking at the cable to see if it will work with
both cameras? Is there something on the cable that tells you if it
should work with your hardware?

Your cameras may well take a Mini-B connector, that seems to be somewhat
of a standard:

I would probably be reckless enough to just try it, but your manuals may
be explicit in describing the connector.

Looking at this picture I see my camera connector type. It is the
second from the left.
