Default Shift key seems locked

Hi

Sometimes after the user presses on the shift button the computer behaves as
though it is still pressed

I wonder whether it is hardware or software issue, and what is the solution

Thank you,
Samuel

It is typically a problem with the keyboard. If possible
you might try it on another system or another keyboard on
that system. If the keyboard is newer and of some value you
might try opening it and cleaning it out. If not very
valuable, just replace it.

If your using XP you might want to check the "Accessibility Options" and see
if someone turned on the "Sticky Keys" option.
