Default Which dvd recorder?

I see the brands available are NEC and Samsung. Which one should be the
more reliable?

You can get a lemon in every box, but I like Samsung. No reason, but if
I had to vote...
If you can find them at someplace like NewEgg that has user ratings, you
can also let them sway you. I go to two or three websites and read
ratings if I can find identical products. Its something to take with a
grain of salt. I've seen great products rated horribly.

Both have made models that seem ok, but the specific model
rather than brand may have more to do with your
satisfaction. Check out the user reviews on the ones you're
considering at http://www.newegg.com
