Driver installation... what was installed?

Trying to get my Mustek Bearpaw scanner installed under Windows Vista using
the XP driver.

The first installer works without a hiccup and the driver component seems to
install fine.

Part two is the TWAIN interface and the installer does an OS check before
installing. Even in compatibility mode this second installer complains about
the OS version and quits. I'm sure that if the installer were able to finish
it would work fine.

Does anyone know of any software that I can install on my Windows XP
machine, that will watch the installation of software, then tell me what
files were placed where and what entries were made in the registry?
