Dell Inspiron 1420: due for replacement?

I'm eyeing the Inspiron 1420 with Ubuntu, but the laptop model seems
like it might be due for replacement soon: the 1420 and the 1520/1521
were released simultaneously, yet the 1520/1521 is in the process of
being replaced by the newer 1525/1526. Should we expect a similar
upgrade for the 14" Inspiron to be in the works?
