Hi, I'm getting an old computer running so I can use older pre-XP printers &
scanners. The cd drive is running audio cd's at a speed faster than normal.
What can I do to fix that?

It may be a function of the audio software you are using
Did you try a different media player?

One thing you can try is Nero Drivespeed, an app which lets
you manually set the read speed of the drive though of
course it would read equally slow with a data CD in too
unless you keep changing the speed back and forth as desired
(tray based application).
So far I've tried 3 different cd drives, & the same thing happens.
