Default I/O Magic USB Hard Drive Enclosure not assigned a drive letter

I had a 30GB hard drive laying around so I purchased an I/O Magic USB
external hard drive enclosure to use on my 7VAXP. I already had both an
80 GB and 120 GB hard drives as well as a CD and DVD drive on available
internal IDE channels. I also have an external USB SONY DVD drive. I
have a SANDISK card reader also. Win XP recognizes and assigns drive
letters to everything but the newly acquired I/O Magic USB device. The
Device Manager recognizes that the 30 GB drive is present and says that
it is working but no drive letter is assigned to it. Any ideas as to
why? Where should the jumper on the hard drive be placed?

Right Click My Computer and in the menu click Manage. Click on Disk
Management. Find drive in list and create partition then format.

Thanks, I figured it out. I haven't been using XP very long so am
having to chase around the system trying to learn it.
