Default MPC oversitght

MPC is now handling Gateway's business service. Boy are they FUBAR!

Anyone have a phone or email address of ACER/Gateway oversight of these
clowns. They can't seem to send me the correct replacement keyboard.

God help me if I ever need technical help (I have 2 years left on my GW
warranty *sigh*)

All I can say is that MPC responded quickly and promptly last week, sending me
the right replacement power supply for a Gateway box that belonged to a city
here. All I did was send email to tech support, describe the problem, serial
#, required part #, and what I did to isolate the problem (test with a known
good power supply)... Ben Myers

I am still waiting for my "Operating System Media CD" since August 24,
2006. And Bill, since mine was a refurbushed laptop... mine only came
with a 90 day warrantee. And I am so glad that I don't have to deal with
those people anymore. And for spare parts, I bought a used one on eBay
for $200 just last year. So I'm probably good for another 8 years.

Well it took 3 calls, 2 wrong shipped parts, and 8 days but I finally
got a replacement "Premium" keyboard to replace the original one.

I have been a Gateway customer for a long time. My last purchase was 24
months ago for my business. The couple of times I called Gateway
Business Tech Support (prior to the MPC move) I was handled promptly by
a very knowledgeable person who spoke understandable English (business
tech was based in N. America). I am very disappointed that they sold it
out to the lowest bidder when ACER took over. But that is what the
computer business is all about these days...over promise under supply.

It is certainly not what I purchased and falls far short of what Gateway
advertised when they sold me my business system..but caveat emptor.

It will be the last Gateway...as I can see this Technical support being
just like the Hadji's at Dell.
